about FOCAL

The Focal story began in 1979, in Saint-Etienne, France.

The starting point? The passion of its founder, Jacques Mahul, for the purest sound, the one that transports us into a world of unique emotions. This passion was accompanied by a strong spirit of innovation and unrivalled know-how in acoustics, giving life to products acclaimed the world over.

Loudspeakers and high-fidelity loudspeakers are at the heart of Focal's business. Our acousticians design innovative and versatile audio systems. The Home Collection includes acoustic loudspeakers, in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers, Home Cinema systems and even outdoor loudspeakers for terraces, swimming pools, garden furniture...

The pleasure of listening doesn't stop at home, which is why we also offer open and closed-back hi-fi headphones, wireless noise-canceling headphones, automotive audio kits, professional loudspeakers and headphones, and audio solutions for yachts. Our creations benefit from our know-how to provide sensational listening experiences everywhere, for everyone - audiophiles and music lovers alike - and for a long time to come.

INNOVATION, A STATE OF MIND

All our products benefit from exclusive technologies developed by our engineers in our workshops in France. Our DNA lies in a unique combination of innovation and craftsmanship in the service of sound. Design is also an integral part of our work, right from the product conception stage. For us, shapes, materials and finishes are intrinsic to the Focal experience. They contribute to the reproduction of the best sound. What's more, they enhance it.
